Stay safe on EventBookr

A useful directory still requires good judgement. Use these checks before sharing sensitive information, signing an agreement or sending money.

Before you book or pay

Verify the business name, address, contact person and recent independent references. Ask for a written scope, dates, total price, deposit and cancellation terms. Use a traceable payment method and confirm any last-minute banking-detail change through a previously verified phone number. EventBookr does not hold or guarantee payments between customers and listed businesses.

Meet and communicate safely

Keep early communication in EventBookr where possible so there is a clear record. Do not share passwords, one-time codes, complete card details or identity documents in messages. Meet unfamiliar contacts in a public place or include another person, and tell someone where you are going.

Watch for common warning signs

Be cautious of pressure to pay immediately, prices that are implausibly low, refusal to provide a written agreement, requests for cryptocurrency or gift cards, mismatched names, newly changed bank details, or messages asking you to leave the platform before basic details are confirmed.

Report a listing or unsafe contact

Use “Report this listing” on a public listing for inaccurate, fraudulent, unsafe or prohibited content. For threats, harassment, suspected account compromise or evidence that needs context, submit a trust and safety support request. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Privacy and deletion help

Do not publish another person’s private information without permission. Members can request an account export or deletion in the privacy centre. Other privacy concerns can be submitted through support and are handled only after identity and ownership checks.
